Happy birthday, Carmen!

These are some of my quilting chums, Carmen and Denise. They are both out of town and I miss them. If you have good friends to share and care, you know what I mean.

Today is Carmen's birthday! I wish she was here for me to give her a big hug and a kiss!

My good friend Carmen is also my neighbor. I am so lucky to have a good friend at walking distance! So, when I am cooking and I miss something, I can knock at her door. When I finish a new quilt or project, I go show her. She keeps an eye on my son when I need. And she cooks delicious things and treats me!
Like me, she loves crafting, cooking and gardening. We both read Wee Wonderfuls every day. Like me, she lived in Japan and she likes Japanese things. We both have a cute son and a lovely husband. And we got our PhDs at the same deartment! We suffered with the same professor! This is a strong bond!!

Some time ago we started blogging secretly. One day, her husband discovered her blog and the next time I went to her house he said 'Are you going to tell Gisele about your blog?' Well, I guess she better to. Then I had to confess I was also blogging. We were both shy... When we opened our blogs, what a surprise to see our blogs were very similar.
