Quilting with friends

I had a wonderful time quilting with my friends yesterday. We went to Lori's house for an old-fashion hand quilt evening. Like me, Lori considers herself a hand quilter, but even Jo, who has a state of art sewing machine found some hand sewing to keep herself busy.

Here is Lori with the table runner we made for her. Back in October, Lori thought us long stitch quilting and we put the blocks together and gave her this table runner.

All the girls are incredibly productive. Jo made this beautiful quilt in 3 weeks during her beach vacation. She used oriental fabric and the combination orange-purple was perfect. I wish you could see the details.

And so is Lori, who was a great host! She had delicious food and a cozy fire waiting for us. I can't wait for our next meeting!
