The boys are smoking again. Of course, my husband always think of a smorgasbord when he smokes meat.
And the little one loves to mix the spices and of course, he also likes to eat the meat.
We can't eat it all by ourselves and our neighbors and friends always become part of this meat overdose.
Once I tried to become vegetarian but it didn't last long. I do like meat. But lately I have been eating much less meat. I read many of Michael Polan's book and I do agree with him when he says we should eat less meat because it is better for your health and for the environment. To produce meat takes lots of natural resources. Besides, we always think of the animals that got killed for us to eat.
Now I am reading 'Urban Farm', by Novella Carpenter. She talks about her experiences as a farmer in downtown Oakland, California. She raises chicken, turkey, rabbits and pigs and she eats them. She kills them herself! If had had to kill the animals myself I certainly would become a vegetarian. Meanwhile, as other people are doing the killing, I am enjoying my meat. But just every once in a while.

Oh my! that IS a lot of meat! Have you seen the movie Food Inc.? After that you will be vegetarian at least for a week. Or maybe you will start buying organic food, like I did, again, for a week and when it's on sale;)
I read Michael Polan's too, and I agree, he makes sense. But when I pack vegetables and fruit for my son without some type of meat, when he gets back from school he tells me "you forgot to send my lunch!"...
